LEBANON - Clyde Staton, 86, of Lebanon, died Thursday in Witham Hospital. He had been in poor health for one year and seriously ill for five months.
Mr. Staton was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of Christian Church at Fairview. He had resided in Lebanon for the past seven years, and for 30 years previously he lived on a farm near Lebanon.
He was born in Boone County, near Gadsen, July 8, 1884, to Theodore and Martha Jane Kincaid Staton. On Sept. 24, 1914, he was married to Lizzie Owens in Boone County.
Surviving are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Steward of Frankfort, Miss Louella Staton of Sheridan, Mrs. Dorothy Merrill of Lebanon and Mrs. Lulu Belle McCamkis of Tampa, Fla. ; six sons, Owen of near Shannondale, William of Springwood, Va. , Roy and Woodrow of Zionsville, Robert of Lebanon and Charles of Whitestown; 32 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a. m. Saturday in Russell & Hitch Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Mts. Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p. m. Friday.
